Welcome and check-in at the hotel in Aurec-sur-Loire.
DAY 2
Hike between Aurec-sur-Loire and Bas-en-Basset: 18 km
Walk along the water through the countryside and villages, and pass near the Rochebaron castle.
Duration: 4h30 walking
DAY 3
Hike between Bas-en-Basset and Retournac: 25 km
Balcony hike above the Loire in the first part. You will have remarkable viewpoints over the valley at several places during this stage. You will reach Retournac along the Loire.
Duration: 6h30 to 7h walking
DAY 4
Hike between Retournac and Vorey-sur-Arzon: 22 km
This day of walking will take you through some particularly picturesque villages such as Chamalières-sur-Loire. Breathtaking view of the 12th century Artias castle. You will pass through Roche en Régnier before joining the Loire Valley again to arrive at Vorey-sur-Arzon.

DAY 5
Hike between Vorey-sur-Arzon and Le-Puy-en-Velay: 27 km
Very beautiful stage where many small hamlets follow one another. You will pass 2km from the castle of Lavoute Polignac. If this stage seems too long, you can shorten it by taking the train from Vorez to Lavoute and start your hike in Lavoute. You will reach Le Puy en Velay by crossing many small villages.
