Day 1: Arrival at Le Puy-en-Velay.
The opportunity to discover the Vellave city! You will stroll through the secret streets of the upper town and discover the Cathedral, the starting point of the Chemin de Saint-Jacques of Compostela.
Day 2: Le Puy en Velay – Saint-Paulien: 35km – D+730m
You will take the greenway of Puy-en-Velay and follow the waters of the Loire. Soon you will reach Lavoûte-sur-Loire and its magnificent castle which dominates the waters of the Loire. Then after a beautiful climb, you will gain height to reach Saint-Paulien.
Day 3: Saint-Paulien – Le Puy-en-Velay: 34km – D+620m
You will travel on a mixture of small roads and accessible paths to reach the Rochelambert castle so dear to George Sand, then that of Saint-Vidal (a high place of military architecture) then the incredible Fortress of the Counts of Polignac. Soon you will reach Le Puy-en-Velay where you will discover the Chapel of Saint-Michel d'Aiguilhe, Notre-Dame de France, the Cathedral of Puy-en-Velay.
Day 4: End of stay after breakfast.
