Welcome at the Tourist Office. Your group will be picked up by a tour guide and set off for a walking tour in the heart of the protected area.

Visit to the Notre-Dame du Puy-en-Velay cathedral, a masterpiece of Romanesque art, listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO as part of the paths of Saint-Jacques-of Compostela. Discover the history of a sanctuary city and pilgrimages, hiking crossroads, starting point of the Via Podiensis, GR 65 towards Saint-Jacques of Compostela. A walk in the heart of a thousand-year-old city.

Afternoon: The abbey through its history and its heritage treasures (2 hours)

Accompanied by a tour guide, discover the impressive 14th century Gothic abbey church housing the marble tomb of Pope Clement VI, the 144 sculpted stalls of the monks' choir, the flamboyant Gothic rood screen, the majestic organ case and the famous fresco “dance of death” mural from the 15th century.
Admire the cloister and its galleries before reaching the completely renovated Notre-Dame du Collège Chapel housing the 14 Flemish tapestries from the 16th century, classified as a Historic Monument since 1840 and a National Treasure. Finish with the astonishing acoustics of the Echo Room where many secrets are whispered.
