For the 5th edition of the Printemps de la Randonnée, the Puy-en-Velay urban area, its Tourist Office and the Haute-Loire Departmental Hiking Committee (CDRP43) are joining forces to highlight the municipalities through hiking trails. This year, the municipality of Saint-Vincent has been chosen to organize this event!
THE 2025 SPRING HIKING ANNOUNCEMENT IS SOLD OUT
The municipality of Saint-Vincent has been chosen for the 2025 edition with the marked route PR 71
entitled The Running Mountain. The aim is to encourage local residents to discover our
municipalities and the different routes, marked among others with the help of the Community
of the Puy-en-Velay agglomeration.
Why the commune of Saint-Vincent?
Located on the way to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, Saint-Vincent is an ideal destination for hikers. Its territory, crossed by the Loire and surrounded by hilly landscapes, offers a preserved natural setting. With its natural and cultural heritage, the town is fully part of the growth of green tourism, attracting walkers and nature lovers.
How the day went
Le departure hiking is planned at 8h30 around a reception-coffee offered by the municipality
from the multipurpose room (parking possible). The hiking loop is long 15
kilometers and a refueling is planned for mid-term. A heritage hiking sheet, made in
partnership with the Country of Art and History of the Agglomeration of Puy-en-Velay, will be delivered to
departure. This road book will provide keys to understanding the cultural heritage of the
commune (the history of the Viaye Les Moines abbey, the church of Saint-Vincent, the suc de Ceneuil,
etc.).
A connected hike with the “Rando(s) en Haute-Loire” application
The Spring of Hiking is also an opportunity to highlight the mobile app
“Rando(s) en Haute-Loire”. Available for free on Google Play and Apple Store, it allows
users to download all the hikes in the Haute-Loire Department. The user
will then be able to follow its path live in all circumstances (with or without network).
