Pascal Rouy – Organic farmer in Azérat
In Azérat, Pascal Rouy invites you to discover his farm during authentic visits, at the heart of a committed and environmentally friendly farming operation.
Certified organic, the farm operates on a principle of self-sufficiency and quality, from grain production to animal husbandry. The grains needed to feed the herd are entirely produced on the farm, according to organic farming standards. This on-site production allows for complete control over the origin and quality of the feed. The main crops are wheat, corn, and mixed grains.
Limousin cattle, renowned for the quality of their meat, are raised with respect for their well-being. Calves, heifers, and steers graze on pasture for most of the year and roam freely in the farm's meadows. In winter, their diet consists of hay and grain produced on the farm, and an open barn provides shelter in case of harsh weather.
