Le Moulin d'Ancette

The last mill in operation on the Ance du Nord, and its collection of old tools "the little museum of Jojo".
Located in a hamlet below the town of Saint-Julien d'Ance, the origins of the Ancette mill date back to 1345. It was when it was rebuilt in 1868 that it acquired its current outline.
The mill operated professionally until before the war, then for domestic purposes only (animal feed) until 1976. In 1991, the association of Friends of Saint-Julien-d'Ance set itself the objective to revive local heritage, including the mill. Since then, the latter has been running again during organized visits. You will discover in action a complete set of flour mills still under renovation: water drive with horizontal wheel, grinding stone and blocker.
