Eglise Sainte-Therese du Val-Vert

The Val-Vert church is unlike any other in Haute-Loire! It is the only one in the department to have been built in the 20th century.
This new “Val-Vert” district is so called because it was built on an area of gardens and meadows.
The Val Vert church, built in 1961, blends in well with the neighboring buildings. It was the project of Jacques Prioleau, architect in Dijon, which was selected.
The visitor enters the church through a patio with trees and flowers, followed by a short area of river pebbles surrounding the heavy baptismal font. He discovers a nave of imposing dimensions, lit by stained glass windows which allow light to enter. The liturgical furniture was created by the sculptor Philippe Kaeppelin.
