Eglise Saint-Rémy

Classified MH in 1907, the Saint Rémy church is a Romanesque building remodeled over the centuries. It depended on the Priory of La Chaise Dieu until the Revolution.
Its architecture is very original. Its western facade is made up of buttresses. The portal is decorated with Romanesque capitals. Its comb bell tower was added in the 16th century.
The interior is composed of a single nave and a polygonal rib-vaulted choir probably from the 14th century. The side chapels were built at the end of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance…
