Eglise Saint-Pierre
A former Casadean priory, the current church seems to date from the XNUMXth century. It preserves a rich medieval statuary in polychrome wood with a rare representation of Mary Magdalene reclining and a Christ with a spade.
This parish church is dedicated to Saint-Pierre.
It was ceded by the Bishop of Mende to the Chaise Dieu Abbey in 1145. In the Auvergne Romanesque style, it is located to the north-east of the town. The entrance is on the south facade through a door dating from 1380.
It houses magnificent polychrome wooden statues such as Christ or the Virgin of the Magdalen whose chapel is located not far from Monistrol.
The Virgin in Majesty from the 12th century present in the treasure is that of ND d'Estours.
