This church is a remarkable example of Auvergat Romanesque art. Built from the 12th century, it includes very beautiful XNUMXth century frescoes.
The church has been remodeled over the centuries. In the 15th century, the portal was pierced then extended in the 16th century by a porch. The upper parts of the nave were partly rebuilt in the 17th century. More recently, in the 19th century, the bell tower was rebuilt identically, with its 4 gables and its spire but losing one floor.
Inside: The choir is decorated with frescoes dating from the 12th century: the last judgment, hell with its fiery tortures, paradise. Other paintings from the end of the 15th century are visible: the Annunciation, the Visitation, the Nativity…
Not to be missed: A statue of St. Anne with Mary on her knees who herself is holding the child Jesus (from the 13th century)
Listed as a historical monument in 1902.
