Château de Lavoûte-Polignac

For 1000 years and more, Lavoûte-Polignac has dominated the Loire with its towers, which surrounds the castle on all sides. It is among the first castles of the wild Loire.
Open from April 5 to November 2.
From June to September every day.
Since its origin, the pleasure castle, of the illustrious family of Polignac, is famous "for the softness of the air... for the pleasure and the convenience of the gardens and the river of the Loire which surrounds it on all sides and whose it bears the name of the Vault »
The residence dominates the river in a spectacular site. Even today, the Duke of Polignac stays there with pleasure. It was enlarged in the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries, then remodeled in the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries. Access to the castle is through the large porch. From the main courtyard you reach the medieval and renaissance style garden, with pruned yews, roses and cosmos.
The house, of beautiful proportions, perpetuates an elegant atmosphere through its collections and historical memories.
