Chapelle Notre-Dame de la Forêt à Sembadel Gare

The construction of this chapel took place in 1953-1954.
It is entirely built of wood, on a masonry base. The church is not oriented, its facade is to the south. An open exterior porch is accessed from the road via a double flight staircase. A small campanile sums up the gable of the chapel. The windows are twinned. The interior is fully paneled.
La statue de Notre-Dame de la Forêt a été sculptée par Louis Gire de Saugues en 1955. Le Christ en bois a été sculpté par André Lacome de Lourdes et ramené par le Pèlerinage de 1958. En 1958, également mobilier et autel par Henri Roux de Dore l’Église. Les bancs ont été fabriqués en 1959 par Henri Roux. Le tabernacle en 1959 par Jean Charrier, maître serrurier à Sembadel-Gare. Les chandeliers en cuivre et en fer également par Jean Charrier. Les vitraux ont été réalisés et installés en 1959 par l’abbé Richaud, curé du Monteil.
