"La Cool et Verte" is a race, or rather, several races: hiking, horseback riding, canicross, trail running, bike & run, mountain biking, and road cycling. But these are somewhat unusual races: no timing or rankings, just pure relaxation.
Each year, the majority of profits are donated to charitable causes. The profits from the 2025 edition of the Cool et Verte will largely be dedicated to helping Louna, a 16-year-old girl with a disability from birth. In 2024, we supported Mamadou, who was seriously injured in an accident.
The marked trails allow you to discover the many facets of the region's heritage: volcanism, of course, but also granite paths and pine forests. Pleasant landscapes, not to mention the famous Allègre gallows.
The 2025 routes
- 5 km route: hiking, nature jogging, running and cycling (D+ 175m)
- 12 km route: hiking, nature jogging, running and cycling (D+280 m)
- 15 km route: hiking, nature jogging, running and cycling (D+ 320 m)
- 25 km route: nature jogging, run and bike, mountain biking (D+ 678 m)
- 10 km canicross course: dog and its owner (D+ 243 m)
- 15 km canicross course: dog and owner (D+ 327 m)
- 40 km route: nature jogging, run and bike, mountain biking (D+ 1032 m)
- 75 km road bike route: road bike ride (D+ 1400m)
- 25 km equestrian trail: horses (and riders), carriages
Solidarity actions of Cool et Verte
The Cool et Verte is, of course, about sport and conviviality, but it's also a series of solidarity initiatives to benefit children and adults facing financial hardships related to health concerns. Each year, the majority of the profits from the Cool et Verte are donated to a charity. This is thanks to the generous donations of our sponsors and the contributions of the many participants.
This year, in 2025, we will be supporting Louna. Louna is a 16-year-old girl with Lissencephaly and West Syndrome. Before receiving treatment, she had between 40 and 50 seizures per day; this number has now been reduced to 4 or 5 daily. However, she has enormous difficulties with motor skills, language, and independence. Her mother would like to buy her a special car seat so she can get out of the house a bit, something that is currently impossible. Most of the profits from the 2025 edition of the Cool et Verte will be donated to Louna. Another portion will be donated to the Fire Brigade and the Fire Brigade Wards' Association.
