Beautiful walk on the plateau cut by the Borne valley which you cross several times to discover old mills and the works built by men to power them.

Ford on the Merdansou.

A unique, new property built in the traditional French style, with many energy saving features.

From Place de la Fontaine in front of the town hall, follow the road towards the war memorial. At the oven, go left and reach the crossroads with the D 131.
Follow it for 300 m to the right, then go right. Continue on a path to reach Connac [> old assembly house]. Take the D 131 on the right for 250 m, then use a dirt road on the left. Come out on a perpendicular path.
Take it on the left. Turn right after the La Mouteyre house. Continue until you reach a road.
Cross it to continue on the path. Return to the road to Garniers and continue straight on. The road becomes a path at the cross, continue the main road for 650 m.
Turn at a right angle onto the path on the left. Join a perpendicular path, follow it to the right, pass under the railway line and take the road on the right. Cross Marcilhac.
After the last houses, take the path on the left which goes down towards the Gazelle stream. Cross the Borne on a small picturesque bridge, follow a reach and pass next to the old Ceyssaguet mill. Pass the wooden chalets and come out on a perpendicular road opposite the old Champagne inn [> “baraque”].
Follow the road to the left for 60 m, then make a complete U-turn to take a path on the left parallel to the first which leads to the Merdansou stream. Ford it and reach a crossroads of three paths.
Enter the one on the left. Go down into the Borne valley, cross the river, pass to the right of the old Barniers mill, go up following the main path. In sight of Lissac, use the road on the right which leads back to the starting point.
