First the water and the forest, then this magnificent view of the Dore valley, between the Forez mountains and the Livradois mountains, before reaching the Folgoux castle and, very quickly, you will encounter an astonishing arboretum!

Description
Near the Tour pond, follow the small road which runs alongside the departmental road. Cut a small road and continue into the woods, descending gradually. At the end of the trees, come to an intersection.
Follow the path on the left. At the road, turn left to take the boviduct under the D 906. Then turn left. The path joins the access road to Folgoux. At the entrance to the hamlet, the road splits.
Turn right. At the houses, turn left at a right angle onto the grassy path. The latter enters the forest, then finds a small road. Follow it to the right and arrive at a fork.
Go right towards Charvols. Just above the arboretum, turn left. The path leads to the hamlet of Lavadour. Go down to the right. After the houses, at the junction, turn left. The path goes back into the woods. Join a road.
Cross to continue climbing on the path opposite. Cut a second road. At the flat, at the fork, go left. Reach a third road.
Take it on the left for 50 m, then leave it for the path on the right. At the exit of the woods, leave the path on the left, continue opposite to ford the Senouire. Then continue straight ahead until you reach the entrance to a holiday village.
Go right for 20 m, then take the path to the left. Soon join the D 906. Cross it (> be careful!) to take the path on the left which goes around the campsite. Pass over a stream using the wooden bridge. Join the wide gravel path, then follow it for a few meters to find the starting point.
