Circuit 02 : Suc du Ranc

Dark and cool forests alternate with more rural areas and the Ranc passage is wilder. Two physical and technical difficulties: a climb “straight up the slope” in the middle of the woods and the climb to the top of the Ranc, in a “pile” filled with balanced blocks. This is a true alpine mountain route halfway between walking and climbing. This passage should only be taken if conditions permit. A good amount of dew and stones that have become damp make it dangerous. It is then advisable to follow the avoidance route. But you will have to come back in good weather: the landscape which extends to the Alps is worth it.
