La Périchole is a comic opera in three acts by Jacques Offenbach, performed by the Arvoly ensemble under the artistic direction of Thierry Reynaud.

In 18th-century Lima, a street singer, La Périchole, and her lover, Piquillo, lead a miserable life in search of a few piastres to satisfy their hunger. The viceroy of Peru, Don Andres, attends a popular festival in his honor incognito and notices the young woman he falls for. He then offers to take her to court. Faced with a flurry of misunderstandings, what will become of the love between our two street singers?
