1895, in a Parisian theater. Auguste Levasseur, cheerleader, leads a troupe of accomplices who, mingling with the audience, are responsible for applauding at the appropriate moments.
An applauded play is a successful play; but, two hours before a big premiere, Auguste is abandoned by his claque.
He then tasks Fauvette, the orchestra's musician, and Dugommier, the theater's stage manager, with finding replacements to save the evening's performance. The task is daunting; there are only three of them, and tonight, their careers are hanging by a slap!
After Le Siffleur and its more than 600 performances, Fred Radix returns with a new show that takes on a subject and a character who have marked the history of theater and treats them with humor, musicality and historical shift.
A play that is both funny, musical and interactive, with the theme of... the slap in the face in the theatre!
