Johan Bonnefoy is a French visual artist living in Haute-Loire. A graduate of the École Supérieur d'Art de Clermont Communauté, he has since focused his visual work mainly on the medium of painting.
This new personal exhibition presents the fruit of a month of work in artistic residency at Grahy, at the Belle étoile.
A project supported by the DRAC Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the artist immersed himself in the forests on the borders of Livradois in order to capture the particular atmosphere of these wild places and to transcribe them in a work which attempts to question the place of the landscape in contemporary painting.
