Concert du Trio Le Cellier Washington
Sunday, July 13 at 18:00 p.m.
Cathédrale Notre Dame Du Puy en Velay 2 rue de la Manecanterie 43000 Le Puy-en-Velay
Founded in Washington DC in 2019 by Isabelle Frouvelle, harpist, Amy Frost-Baumgarten, cellist and Jonathan Baumgarten, flautist, the LCW Trio brings together three musicians keen to combine European and American cultures.
It is the meeting of three musicians, two Americans and one French, who combine their talents in the service of the same culture, the same universal language: music. Their program consists of works by Ravel, Debussy, Bellini, Jongen, Villa-Lobos, Godard, and Breton. This music is by turns elegant, brilliant, sometimes ecstatic and majestic. The LCW Trio's concerts are full of variety and subtle colors thanks to the complicity of the three instrumentalists, who play on the diversity of timbres and emotions.
In love with France, they have given several concerts there as part of their tours, both in cathedrals and in pretty little country churches. They always choose demanding and high-quality programs combining solos, duets and trios, to the delight of their audiences. On the program this year, Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin, Debussy's Nuages, Farnaby's Old English Suite...
Amy Frost Baumgarten:
She holds the position of Principal Cello in the Kennedy Opera House Orchestra in Washington, DC. She has given numerous concerts and participated in major festivals in the United States (San Francisco, Colorado, etc.). She is a graduate of the Yale School of Music (Connecticut). She is a professor at the Catholic University of Washington.
Jonathan Baumgarten:

A graduate of the Julliard School of Music, he studied in Paris with Michel Debost. He is a professor of flute at American University and plays in numerous ensembles in the Washington region.
Isabelle Frouvelle:

She gives recitals in France and the United States, performs as a soloist in concertos with the Virginia Chamber Orchestra, the William and Mary Orchestra, and plays in orchestras (Orchestre Colonne, Opéra en Plein Air, Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, etc.). She also gives numerous chamber music concerts.
