In an exceptional setting, Acap'Alex will perform on Friday August 15 at 17 p.m. an entirely new program of ancient and modern sacred songs with works by Janequin, Purcell, Vivaldi, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Poulenc, Duruflé and other authors.
Invited by the Pierre Roger de Beaufort association, the Acap'Alex ensemble is a mixed-voice vocal quartet. It is composed of young professional lyric singers: Alix De Guérines (soprano), Eloïse Magat (mezzo), Nils Rousson (tenor), Paul-Louis Barlet (baritone).
The name of the group refers to the city of Alex, in Haute-Savoie, where it was formed in July 2020 and gave its first concert. This ensemble is above all a human and musical adventure shared by four friends passionate about music and singing. They are all students at the Conservatoires National Supérieurs de Musique in Lyon or Paris and while completing their studies, they begin their careers as professional musicians. Having voluntarily chosen eclecticism, diversity of repertoires and eras, Acap'Alex has given itself the mission of making so-called "learned" music (but not only) discover and love it to all audiences. A first recording of Acap'Alex was released in December 2024.
In the exceptional setting and acoustics of the Saint-Robert abbey church in La Chaise-Dieu, where the ensemble gave a first concert in 2023, Acap'Alex will perform an entirely new program of ancient and modern sacred songs.
