LOST IN TRANSLATION
Bob Harris, a fading actor, goes to Tokyo to shoot a commercial. He knows he's making a mistake - he should be at home with his family, acting in the theatre or looking for a role in a film - but he needs money. From the top of his luxury hotel, he looks out over the city, but sees nothing. He's somewhere else, detached from everything, unable to integrate into the reality around him, and also unable to sleep because of the time difference. In the same establishment, Charlotte, a young American woman who has just graduated, accompanies her husband, a fashion photographer. He seems more interested in his work than in his wife. Feeling neglected, Charlotte seeks a little attention. She finds it in Bob...
FROM BRUGES WITH LOVE
After a contract gone bad in London, two hitmen are ordered to go and hide for a while in Bruges.
Ray is consumed by his failure and hates the city, its canals, its cobbled streets and its tourists. Ken, while keeping a paternalistic eye on his young colleague, lets himself be won over by the calm and beauty of the city.
As they desperately await their employer's call, their enforced stay leads them to strange encounters with locals, tourists, a dwarf American actor shooting a European art-house film, prostitutes and a young woman who may well be hiding some secrets as dark as their own...
When the boss finally calls and asks one of the killers to take down the other, the vacation turns into a surreal chase through the city streets…
