Automne Jazz en Velay : Le Possible(s) Quartet + les cousins en 1ère partie
Saturday, September 28 at 20 a.m.
Théâtre Place du Breuil 43000 Le Puy-en-Velay
For this flagship evening of the 13th “Automne Jazz en Velay” festival, come and listen to two groups who will pay tribute to three major musicians of the XNUMXth century: Django Reinhardt, Érik Satie and Thelonious Monk.
A wonderful evening paying tribute to jazz to the notes of the greatest jazzmen!
The first part will be provided by the Altiligérien gypsy jazz group: Les Cousins! Christophe Bariol on guitar, Jacques Bresson on violin and the Merle brothers, Xavier on guitar and Yannick on double bass, will pay tribute to the genius of Django.
Then will follow the "Possible(s) Quartet", which, under the leadership of Rémi Gaudillat, will present its latest creation: GymnoStrophy. Inspired by the minimalist Satie and the extravagant Monk, the quartet brings them together by imagining their meeting, thus continuing its work around the inner world, the power of imagination and dreams in a repertoire where fantasy, melancholy and poetry reign.
