During the All Saints' Day holidays, come and discover or rediscover unexpected places in Velay! Take advantage of the autumn colours to go for a walk, take some time to recharge your batteries and enjoy a delicious meal. Enjoy an immersive experience with the Hôtel des Lumières and Terre de Géants or visit the latest temporary exhibition "À travers champs" at the Musée Crozatier. Here are some ideas for a great autumn holiday.

Hike in the fall

With family, friends or even alone, set off to discover hidden treasures in the Velay region. A walk in the forest (hunting for mushrooms), along the Loire or around a lake, you will definitely find what you are looking for on the "Rando Haute-Loire" mobile app.

Also, don't hesitate to hike a few kilometers on the famous trails of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle ou Stevenson. Our good plan: the daily shuttles from La Malle Postale operate until October 31st 🙂

TEST THE VIA VELAY

On foot or by bike, enjoy the Via Velay for a beautiful outing in the autumn colors. Accessible to all (2% slope), this old railway line connects Le Puy-en-Velay to Landos over 35 kilometers.

You will cross typical villages, forests, 5 tunnels and a viaduct. Moreover, do not miss to admire our natural sites close to the greenway: the Beaume Waterfall and Bouchet lake.

Visit our monuments

Thanks to the “Velay Pass Card” you can visit more monuments while paying less! Here are the 5 monuments offered in this Pass: the statue of Our Lady of France, the cloister of the cathedral, the Saint-Michel d'Aiguilhe rock, the fortress of Polignac et the Crozatier museum including its temporary exhibition in partnership with the Centre Pompidou which is included!

Take some time for yourself

Come relax and recharge your batteries in one of our partner massage centers: Mount Anis in Puy-en-Velay or My Beautiful Countryside in Saint-Geneys-Près-Saint-Paulien.

Facial or body massages and hammam for some and hydromassage baths, sauna and relaxation lounge for others, you will find a formula to help you relax.
