PR687 Le suc de Bèze
Les Chapelles, the highest peak in the canton of Craponne, was called Suc de Bèze around 1956. Crosses, relief, viewpoints, undergrowth, streams and valleys… such is the charm of this day of hiking.
Take the D 9, pass the town hall and, after the houses, take the road on the right. Pass Le Vernet, continue for 275 m, then leave the road on the right.
At the junction, take the track on the left for 90 m then the path on the right. Just before La Ribeyre, take the path on the right. It winds, bordered by hedges. Follow the road to the right. Pass Four, then gain Marus. Turn left twice to cross the hamlet.
Shortly after the reservoir, at the fork, climb to the left. At the intersection, continue straight on. In the forest, ignore two paths on the left and come out on a wide path.
Go down the wide lane on the left. Continue down the wide path on the left and exit the forest.
Just before the bend in the road, turn right onto the path. At the Mas, take the road on the right. Stay left and, at the farm, turn left onto the path. Ignore a path on the left then a second on the right and continue straight into the forest. At the edge of the woods, turn right and reach Lavet.
Cut the D 9 and take the road towards Montbrichet for 600 m. At the woods, turn left onto the path. At the crossroads, take the wide path on the left. It leads to Colombier. Cross the hamlet by the road on the left for 130 m, then leave the road on the right for the path leading away from the village.
At the fork, continue right. Cross the wood on the left. At the intersection, turn left along the edge and reach Doupis.
