PR540 Le Rond de l'Ange

A short tour, first on a balcony overlooking the deep Loire valley then, on the edge of the plateau, with a breathtaking view of the Meygal massif. To do as a family!
From Olme (or Holme), take the road towards Poinsac [> view of the castle on the right] and continue along the road which goes down to Cabarets. Continue down the road, leaving the path on the left for 400 m.
At the bend, at the small car park [> viewpoint over the Loire and the “Rond de l'Ange”, name given to this meander of the Loire because of its perfect curve], take the path on the left and enter the woods. At the fork, stay left. The path passes along the side, often on the edge of the woods, and leads to Valletta [> fortified house].
Go up the path on the left and enter the woods.
At the crossroads of the paths, turn right and continue the climb up the slope to Archinaud [> view of the Mézenc massif]. As soon as you enter the hamlet, climb the lane on the left and arrive at the exit of the hamlet [> view of the Meygal massif].
Take the perpendicular road on the left. It leads to L'Olme.
