Etape GR470 Prades – Monistrol-d'Allier

Go straight into Prades until the crossroads at the entrance to the small bridge over the Seuge. Continue opposite for around 30 m, then, at the fountain, turn left into the cobbled alley. Then turn left and follow this street until you leave the village. Continuing on, continue on the path overlooking the Allier. Arrive at a fork.
Take the path on the right; immediately, it divides again. Continue to the right to pass under the railway tracks. Continue on this narrow path which climbs the hills of the Allier.
When it splits, climb to the right. Continue under the trees until you reach a wider path in the open. Go down left. Reach the bottom of the valley and arrive at a place called Oume. There, go up to the entrance to Pissis.
In the center of the hamlet, follow the street on the left going up between the houses. At the last, this path becomes a simple grassy path and enters a pasture. Very quickly, the path splits.
Climb to the right on the winding path, first in the open, then under the trees. At the next fork, stay on the main path on the right. At the top, come out onto a wide track. Go right. Continue on the main path to the village of Chazaloux. Then follow the road to the right.
At the crossroads (Champels cross), follow the road on the left for approximately 400 m. Near a farm, discover a path on the left.
Leave the road for this path. At the next junction, turn right. After the stream, the path turns left and continues into the forest. Ignore a path on the left and join the D 589; follow it to the left (be careful!) for around 300 m.
At the picnic area, go down left to reach a path. Follow it to the right. Under the trees the path widens. Come out in the bend of a road. Go down left and reach an intersection.
Continue to the village of Escluzels. After the fountain, turn left twice towards “the Madeleine chapel”. Go down the steep path (stairs and handrail), pass by the chapel, then join a tarmac path.
Ignore the path which goes down to the left and follow the road to Monistrol-d'Allier. Join a road coming from the right, then take the first street on the right, rue des Lombard. Reach the center of the town (11).
