Puy-en-Velay Tourism has chosen the theme of Olympism to embody the main directions of its communication and its actions in 2024. An object illustrates this positioning, it is a pilgrim's staff transformed into a walking stick. relay as a symbol that we pass on to discover the entire tourist offer.
The Velay destination is revealed through the Olympics!
The year 2024 will be Olympic in France with the Paris Olympics and cameras around the world focused on the sporting events this summer! The Puy-en-Velay Tourism teams have produced a 3-minute destination clip which highlights all the sporting activities that can be practiced in the area.
Like an Olympic relay, the different outdoor activities are embodied by local athletes who pass a stick symbolizing the path of Saint-Jacques.
Hiking, paragliding, mountain biking, climbing, cycling, rafting and water activities, horseback riding, electric scooters, running are in the spotlight in this relay which ends with an emblematic handover under the porch of Puy Cathedral -en-Velay. Indeed, two hikers embody the last relay, starting towards Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle in the exceptional landscapes of Puy-en-Velay.
