Les Tapisseries d'Art d'Aubusson et les manufactures de La Chaise-Dieu

Our collection includes art screen-printed tapestries, tapestries woven on a Jacquard loom as well as hand-woven tapestries on a low-smooth loom, contemporary and antique tapestries, and finally restoration.
These tapestries are made from Aubusson wool, they are spun and dyed by our master dyer. We can thus make a thousand flowers, an Aubusson greenery on a canvas with Aubusson stitch.
These are original works that we make ourselves, a unique work that sets the mood. The appearance will be the same as found on the tapestries of the Gobelins, Beauvais or Aubusson factories.



In line with the Aubusson tapestries presented in our collection, you can also discover at the Chaise-Dieu the hanging of 14 Flemish tapestries from the XNUMXth century relating facts from the Old and New Testaments, at the heart of the museographic tour of the Abbey.
