The center has become a CFA since November 2021 and welcomes apprentices in CPA and BMA “Fuseaux Lace Arts”. The boutique offers a specialized bookstore, a quarterly magazine “La Dentelle” but also very beautiful handmade lace (sold with invoice and certificate of origin).
Created in 1974, the Bobbin Lace Teaching Center pursues two essential missions: maintaining tradition and practice through teaching and safeguarding the lace heritage.
The aim of the “De Fil en Fuseau” shop is to provide lacemakers with all the necessary materials (tiles, bobbins, methods, models, etc.) to make bobbin lace.
The shop offers a large range of lace material, 1700 items:
– tiles (traditional, professional, round tile) – Starter kit for beginners
– bobbins, threads and basic materials (pins, scissors, hooks, quills, etc.)
– accessories (protective leather, carrying bag, derivative products, etc.)
– methods (library in French, English, German or Spanish)
– the quarterly paper magazine “Lalace” on sale by issue and by subscription. Also available as a downloadable digital magazine.
