Bureau d'Information Touristique

Open all year round in the former hostelry of the abbey, at the level of the cloister: access by a covered staircase located on the right of the abbey church (large glass doors) or by interior lift (to the left of the staircase )
The La Chaise-Dieu Tourist Information Office will be able to guide you in your search for accommodation, leisure activities or even cultural activities thanks to a wide choice of documentation in an exceptional site.
You will find the necessary information and advice for a stay adapted to your desires: catering, heritage, museums, castles, tourist trains, outdoor activities, white water activities, hiking topo-guides...

Paid guided tours are offered all year round for groups by reservation to discover the abbey and its many treasures: St Robert abbey church, tombs, stalls, rood screen, danse macabre, organ buffet, cloister, tapestries, echo room, medieval town, Penitents' chapel, etc.
Since 2019, a new paying museum trail has allowed everyone to discover the restored former Benedictine abbey: cloister, former kitchens transformed into an optical theatre, Notre Dame du Collège chapel presenting the 14 tapestries which have regained all their splendour after restoration, abbey church and even the echo room where many secrets have been whispered for many years...

An on-site shop offers various stationery products, bookstore, games, souvenirs, several hiking guidebooks, etc.

But also all year round: tickets for the cultural season at the Cziffra Auditorium, tickets for the La Chaise-Dieu Music Festival, sale of departmental fishing permits and those for the Breuil pond, etc.
We speak: English, French
